As part of our fundraising strategy, we are asking all of our families to find out if your employer is willing and able to match donations made to our non-profit organization, Rocky Mountain Baseball Club. Employers are often able to match donations between $500-$1000 on a yearly basis. The “yearly basis” piece is important because if we act fast, we could get your employer to match a donation made in 2022 and then again in 2023. Attached are screen shots and step by step instructions provided by the Rodriguez family of the donation they made to their oldest son’s baseball team. These instructions are specific to Wendy’s employer and may be different for your organization.
Please note that Rocky Mountain Baseball Club was recently approved to be a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization but may not been added to all database's tracking non-profit organizations eligible to receive a donation. We are listed under the IRS tracking system and we expect Rocky Mountain Baseball Club to be added to all services soon.
The Rodriguez family accessed this benefit with the money collected from friends and family that were not interested in receiving a donation acknowledgment letter for tax purposes. If a donor would like a donation acknowledgment letter, they will need to donate directly to our non-profit organization by clicking HERE.
Lastly, some employers are also willing to pay their employees that volunteer for non-profit organizations. A parent on the Rodriguez family’s oldest son’s team has a dad that manages Game Changer App, music, and logistics for the team. He tracks and submits these volunteer hours to his company who then sends money to Fire Baseball Club.
Two great options, so please be sure to simply ask if either are available through your employer.
